A Little About Me
I have been happily married for 14 years now; and the mom of two wonderful kids — a son and a daughter. We live out in the rolling wheat fields on a little farm.

Veterinary Life

Veterinary Medicine

I have been writing about pets and veterinary medicine since 1999 on my Veterinary Medicine site at About.com.

I also have continued on with my love and fascination (some would say obsession) with glass and beads. Now that I am a grownup, I have my own flaming propane-oxygen torch to melt glass rods and make my own beads. I love it! Making beads is so mesmerizing for me. You can view samples of my work and learn more about the bead making process (called lampworking or flameworking) on my glass bead site.

Race for the Cure!
To celebrate my fabulous Peach friend’s journey and recovery, I am making some Femme Fus exclusive beads that will be available as a way for viewers to enjoy and support our Femme Fus team. I have worked with Peach to come up with 3 designs at 3 price points, available for “purchase” with your donation to our team.

First beads on the site: Pink Ribbon Necklaces

More beads to come!

What is Femme Fus?
Femme is French for woman and fus is short for fuscular, a made-up word meaning fat and muscular, so there you have it: Team Femme Fus!
